研究領域與專長

我們實驗室的核⼼⼯作是蛋白質創新⼯程的領域,旨在開發具有特殊功能的蛋白質。我們研發的重點是⼀種螢光⽣物感測器,將螢光蛋白和結合蛋白精密融合,製造出能夠依賴特定目標可逆地改變其螢光強度的蛋白質螢光⽣物感測器。

這些⽣物感測器不僅創新且可遺傳編碼,允許我們在活體模型動物(如蒼蠅、魚和老鼠)研究中精確控制⽣物感測器的時空顯現。這⼀能⼒已經轉變了廣泛的⽣物學研究領域;例如,⽤於偵測鈣離子(Ca2+)的 GCaMP ⽣物感測器已經成為研究神經活動不可或缺的⼯具。我們實驗室另⼀項突破是⽤於乳酸的LACCO ⽣物感測器,讓我們在活細胞、組織、和整體⽣物體中觀察細胞代謝。

我們實驗室的目標是利⽤我們先進的蛋⽩質⼯程技術和最新的實驗設施來開發這些高功能蛋白質。這些蛋白質的⼯具將能夠幫助研究⼈員揭開其領域中特定的謎題,對於促進科學進步至關重要。

為了推動我們的研究目標,我們與全球神經科學、癌症⽣物學、免疫學、以及表觀遺傳學等領域的專家合作。透過這些合作,我們可加速科學發現並加深對關鍵⽣物過程的理解。
