研究領域與專長

我們研究團隊專注的領域有生物合成化學(特別是酵素糖類合成)、複雜寡糖的結構鑑定分析,以及探索新穎糖類酵素及其在複雜寡糖的合成應用性。實驗室成員(學生或是博後)利用化學合成以及酵素方法製備我們感興趣並且有生物應用潛力的化合物,並使用這些化合物探討其生物化學上的意義或是結構分析。

我們研究的長遠目標是持續發展當前最新的技術以合成自然界中所發現的、具重要生物意義的複雜糖類分子,並探究其生理活性。目前研究團隊主要的重點是人類母乳寡糖。研究方向可分為下列幾項,各項可為獨立研究題材或互為相輔方向:1) 發展新穎生物催化劑用在人類母乳寡糖類型的糖體合成;2) 以化學以及酵素方法完成人類母乳寡糖分子庫的全系列合成;3) 探究人類母乳寡糖與人體腸道菌相的相互關係,瞭解這些糖分子能夠抑制腸道內病原菌感染的原因與機制。
