Introduction
Protein crystallization facility provides a complete service pipeline from purified protein to crystal structure to support users in IBC. The facility currently houses Dispenser (Phoenix RE, RIGAKU), Screen Builder (Scorpion, ARI), The protein X-ray diffraction system (FR-E+ & R-AXIS HTC, RIGAKU), Crystal imaging system (Minstrel DT UV), incubator and cold room. The staffs also offer advice and technical assistance in sample preparation, crystallization, crystal test, X-ray data collection, and crystal structure determination and analysis.

1. Crystallization robot

The Crystal Phoenix is the ideal protein crystallography dispenser, featuring accuracy, speed and precision to make it the perfect instrument for sitting drop, hanging drop and microbatch reactions. In less than 50 seconds it dispenses protein and screen to the small wells or hanging drop seals. The speed of dispensing the screen and protein eliminates the problem of evaporation even when dispensing as little as 100 nanoliters. Both the 96 syringe head and the nano dispenser have a large volume range. The 96 syringes are equipped with flexible needles that will not be damaged in the event of a misplaced plate. The 96 head can dispense from 100 nanoliters to 100 microliters and the nano dispenser has a range of 100 nanoliters to over 10 microliters.

The Minstrel DT UV is an ultraviolet and visible crystal imaging and protein crystal monitoring system that offers superior optical resolution, allowing users to detect features smaller than ever before. It automatically images crystallization experiments and links images with crystallization conditions. This robotic instrument is a major advance over previous visible light microscopy technology because its UV technology can find crystals in complex drops and easily distinguish protein crystals from non-protein crystals (such as salt).

3. The protein X-ray diffraction system FR-E+ & R-AXIS HTC

The FR-E+ SuperBright (Rigaku) is an extremely intense home laboratory X-ray source, providing brightness exceeding some 2nd generation bending magnet synchrotron beamlines. With unrivalled intensities of 1.6 x1011 X-rays/mm2/sec, the generator produces twice the flux of the closest competitive instrument. This 2X advantage is made by advances in anode cooling technology. Ideal for rapid screening of samples and for collection of the highest quality data for in-house structure determination, the FR-E+ SuperBright provides the flux you need. On the other hand, the R-AXIS HTC is a design of unique three imaging-plate (IP) detector, allowing for simultaneous expose, erase, and readout operations during X-ray data collection. This means that the duty cycle is limited only by the speed of the IP transport from one position to the next, making the detector highly efficient for screening samples or for experiments with brief exposure times.

4. Scorpion Screen Builder

With the ability to accommodate deep well blocks, 2 ml, 15 ml tubes, 50 ml tubes, plus 24 and 96 well plates, the Scorpion can do anything you can do by hand or any other system.

8. Storage crystal plate incubator
please contact managerIncubator is small and saves space, with temperature being controlled between 4-40℃. Stable temperature control and nearly no vibration, making it suitable for crystallization plate storage.
